Setting the Installation Height of the Head Refresher

When you install the head refresher on the jig for fixing in place the object to be printed on, you can perform head refreshing with the jig installed. This affects the shortening of the work time and the uniformity of the print quality. If the height of the head refresher changes because it is installed on a jig, set the installation height of the head refresher. If you do not configure this setting, it will not be possible to detect the head refresher position during head refreshing, which will lead to an error message being displayed and will prevent head refreshing from being performed correctly.

Point: When installing the head refresher on a jig, use a jig that changes the installation height of the head refresher by 55 mm (2.2 in.) or less. If the height change exceeds 55 mm (2.2 in.), the head refresher position will be higher than the print heads, so you will not be able to adjust the height.
  1. Press MENU.
  2. Press ▼ several times to display the screen shown below.


  3. Press ▶.
  4. Press ▼ several times to display the screen shown below.


  5. Press ▶ to display the screen shown below.


  6. Press ▲ or ▼ to select [ADJUST].


  7. Press ENTER.
    After "NOW PROCESSING.." is displayed and the flat table moves, the screen shown below appears.


  8. Open the front cover.
  9. Set the jig in place, and then install the head refresher.
    Remove the head refresher cover. However, it is not necessary to attach the head cleaning sheet.


  10. Close the front cover.
  11. Press ENTER.
    "NOW PROCESSING.." is displayed, the flat table moves, and the head refresher height is measured. When the measurement is finished, one of the screens shown below appears.
    • When the measurement succeeded


    • When the measurement failed


    In this situation, the correction value is the default value or the previous setting value. Check the installation position of the head refresher, and then perform the adjustment again.

  12. Open the front cover.
  13. Remove the head refresher.
    MEMO:
    You can place the head refresher in the space on the left side of the machine. Do not place anything here other than the head refresher, head cleaning sheet, and bottle for head refreshing.


  14. Close the front cover.
  15. Press ENTER.
  16. Press MENU, then to go back to the original screen.
