Using Expansion Terminal B to Connect an External Device

In order to connect a device to expansion terminal B, you have to set "EXT. PORT B" to "ENABLE."
WARNING

Perform this task with all power switches left switched off.

Sudden movement of the machine may cause injury.

  1. Check that the machine's main power and sub power switches are off.
  2. Attach to expansion terminal B () the terminal to which you want to connect an external device.


  3. Turn on the machine's main power and sub power.
  4. Press MENU.
  5. Press ▼ several times to display the screen shown below.


  6. Press ▶.
  7. Press ▼ several times to display the screen shown below.


  8. Press ▶.
  9. Press ▲ or ▼ to select ENABLE.


    EXT. PORT B Explanation
    ENABLE Enables the connection to expansion terminal B.
    DISABLE (default setting) Disables the connection to expansion terminal B.
  10. Press ENTER to confirm your entry.
  11. Press MENU and then ◀ to return to the original screen.
