Assigning an Arbitrary Spot Color Name to Each White Ink/Metallic Silver Ink/Gloss Ink/Primer

This section explains how to use a newly created spot color library to assign an arbitrary spot color name to each white ink, metallic silver ink, gloss ink, and primer.

This makes it possible to specify spot colors correctly without recreating the printing data in situations such as when the creator of the printing data assigns unique names and when using printing data created for other RIP software in VersaWorks.

Procedure
  1. Click Edit - Spot Color Settings.
The Spot Color Settings window appears.
  2. Click .
The Create Spot Color Library window appears.
  3. Enter the desired name in Spot Color Management.
  4. Select the Alias of Special Inks check box.
  5. Click OK.
A new spot color library is created.
  6. Select the name of the newly created spot color library, and then click .
The list is added to Spot Color Name.
  7. Select a spot color that was added, and then enter the Color Name.

Select from RDG_WHITE, RDG_Gloss, RDG_MetallicSilver, and RDG_PRIMER. This makes it possible to specify the selected special ink with the Spot Color Name entered in step 7.
  9. Click OK.
    The settings are saved.
